The 2018 High School Art Song Competition

Ithaca College and Denver Art Song Project, proudly announce the 2018 High School Art Song Competition.

Competition Dates

Friday, January 19, 2018,  6-9 p.m.

Saturday, January 20, 2018, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Winners Concert

Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 4 p.m.

Our first and second place winners  and honorable mentions perform in a concert setting along with Denver Art Song Project and our distinguished judges.

Winners Master Class

Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 3-5 p.m.

Our winners and honorable mentions will participate in an art song recital featuring our panel of judges.

Prizes

First Place

The Flora Brown Promise Award

This is a contingent award of no less than $10,000. The student winner will receive the award upon completing a successful audition for the Ithaca College School of Music, and upon acceptance to Ithaca College as a voice major. The amount will then be applied to defray costs of tuition to attend Ithaca College, School of Music.

$200 and participation in the 2018 High School Art Song Concert and Master Class

Second Place

$100 and participation in the 2018 High School Art Song Concert and Master Class
